We are responsible stewards of a defined benefit plan established to benefit employees of the former Baptist Hospital System.

BH1 History
BH1 is the remainder corporation that retained assets and liabilities not purchased in the sale of the assets of Nashville’s Baptist Hospital Systems, Inc. to Ascension Healthcare in December 2001.
Mission Statement
We are responsible stewards of certain not-for-profit operations, assets, and liabilities remaining after the sale of the Baptist Hospital System in Nashville, Tennessee. Such stewardship involves prudent management, thoughtful investment, careful liquidation of certain assets and liabilities, and support for the growth of health services.
