Baptist Women’s Treatment Center
BH1 created the Baptist Women's Treatment Centers in January 2002
to provide services to women in Nashville and Murfreesboro that Baptist
Hospital and Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC) could no longer
perform once they became part of a Catholic healthcare system. The
Baptist Women’s Treatment Centers are comprised of two non-profit
acute care hospitals, each with two beds, located in Baptist Hospital
and MTMC. In November 2002, the Baptist Women's Treatment Center (BWTC)
Nashville and Murfreesboro opened their doors providing OB patients
the option to have tubal ligations with their deliveries at both facilities.
BWTC Nashville also provides certain GYN outpatient services not currently
offered in the St. Thomas Health System. Both facilities are fully
JCAHO accredited.
